Privacy policy
The short, honest version of how we handle your details.
Who we are
LA Roofing is a family run roofing business based in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire. You can contact us about anything in this policy on 01236 338906 or at contact@laroofing.uk.
What we collect and why
When you send a quote form on this site we collect your name, phone number and anything you tell us about the job. We use it for one thing: contacting you about your enquiry and carrying out any work you ask us to do. We do not sell your details or use them for marketing lists.
When you send an enquiry through our quote funnel, it is collected on our behalf by Perspective (perspective.co), the form service we use, and delivered to us. If you email or phone us instead, your details go straight to our inbox or phone.
Analytics and cookies
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site, for example which pages are read most and how visitors find us. It only runs if you choose "Accept" on the cookie banner; if you choose "Decline" or ignore it, Google Analytics does not load at all. When it runs, it records things like the pages you visit, roughly where you are (town or region, not your address), the device and browser you use, and the site that referred you. We only see this as totals and trends; it does not tell us who you are, and we never combine it with enquiry details.
Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_*, which let it tell a new visitor from a returning one. They last up to two years. Google provides the service; you can read how it uses information from sites like ours in Google's own explanation.
Your choice is remembered in your browser (a small la-consent entry, not a cookie) so we do not ask on every page. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or the button below; choosing "Decline" switches Google Analytics off and removes its cookies. The site works exactly the same either way.
Embedded content
Some pages embed content from other services: the coverage map is provided by OpenStreetMap via Leaflet, and our work page can embed our Facebook page. Those services may set their own cookies when their content loads; their privacy policies apply to that content.
How long we keep your details
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, plus whatever records we must legally keep for guarantees, invoices and tax.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them where we have no legal need to keep them. Just phone or email using the details above.
